Cogni Honey Ingredients List With Percentages Explained
The list prints (20%) for bacopa, (5%) for lutein and zeaxanthin, and (50%) for green tea extract, without saying what the percentages refer to. They could describe the share of an active compound in an extract, or something else. They are not the share of the capsule, and they are not milligram amounts.

What do the percentages in the Cogni Honey ingredients list mean?
The list does not say. Four lines carry a bracketed percentage, and nothing explains what it measures.
The percentages come with the list given to this site for the sibling pack, which is unconfirmed. They read: Bacopa monnieri (20%), lutein (5%), zeaxanthin (5%) and green tea extract (50%). Seven other names carry no percentage at all.
Three readings are common in the supplement trade, and the table sets them out. We cannot tell which applies here, so we pick none.
| Reading | What it would tell you | What it would not tell you |
|---|---|---|
| Active share of the extract | Strength of the extract | How much extract is in a capsule |
| Share of the blend | Relative proportion | The capsule weight |
| Share of a daily value | A nutrient level | Applies to vitamins, not herbs |
Is a percentage the same as a dose?
No. A percentage describes a proportion, and a dose is a weight.
Take bacopa. Trial extracts are usually standardized to a share of bacosides, often 24% to 55%, and the trial dose is 300 to 450 mg of extract a day (StatPearls, Bacopa monnieri). A printed “20%” with no weight cannot be turned into either number. Twenty percent of an unknown amount is still unknown.
No milligram amount exists in any material we hold for a CogniHoney line. So we do not estimate one, and nobody else can from this list alone.
How do the four percentages compare with studied extracts?
They cannot be compared, because the missing half of each number is the amount.
- Bacopa (20%): trials used 300 to 450 mg of extract for 12 weeks or more (Pase 2012, bacopa review). Unknown here.
- Lutein and zeaxanthin (5% each): AREDS2 used 10 mg and 2 mg a day for eye disease (NEI, AREDS 2 supplements). Unknown here.
- Green tea extract (50%): liver case reports involve EGCG intakes from about 140 mg a day (USP 2020, green tea extract review). Unknown here.
Note that two of the three carry safety information as well as study information. A higher printed share is not safer or better. It may only mean a more concentrated extract.

See packsWhy does a green tea percentage matter?
Because concentrated green tea extract is the ingredient with the most documented liver signal.
Liver injury is uncommon but has been reported, mainly with extracts in tablet or capsule form (NCCIH, Green Tea). The list says (50%) and does not state whether that is polyphenols, catechins or something else, and it does not say whether caffeine is present. That is a question for the label on your bottle and for your pharmacist. See the liver safety guide for the signs to watch.
How should you handle an ingredient list with unexplained percentages?
Ask the bottle, then ask the seller.
Look for the Supplement Facts panel on your own bottle. It should give an amount per serving. If a percentage appears without a weight, the order desk at +1 (302) 200-3480 can be asked what it refers to, and you can decide after the answer. FAQ01
CogniHoney questions people ask
What does (20%) next to bacopa mean?
The list does not say. It often marks the active share of a standardized extract, but confirm on your bottle.
Are the percentages the amount in each capsule?
No. A percentage is not a weight, and no milligram amount exists in any material we hold.
Why does green tea extract (50%) deserve a second look?
It is an extract linked to rare liver injury in capsule form (NCCIH, Green Tea), and the list leaves its meaning and caffeine content unstated.
Do the other seven ingredients have percentages?
Not in the list we hold. They appear by name only, with no amount.
