Is CogniHoney Safe to Take With Other Medicines?
Not automatically. Blood thinners, thyroid medicine, statins and diabetes medicine are the ones to ask about first. Ginkgo, bacopa and green tea extract can each interact with prescriptions. Show your pharmacist the bottle and your full medicine list before starting.

Can you take CogniHoney with other medicines?
Not automatically. Several named lines have documented interactions, and the combination in one capsule has never been tested.
Supplements can interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines, and some raise bleeding risk or change the response to anesthesia (NCCIH, Using Dietary Supplements Wisely). Studies of adults aged 65 or older show that herbal products taken with prescriptions are common, yet little is known about interactions (Agbabiaka 2017, herbs with prescriptions).
That gap is the reason for the counter conversation. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own to make room for a supplement, and do not add one without telling the person who prescribes. Over-the-counter products count too: aspirin, pain relievers, cold remedies and sleep aids can overlap with what a capsule does.
Which medicines need the most care?
Four groups come up again and again in the sources we hold.
| Medicine | Named line | The question |
|---|---|---|
| Blood thinners such as warfarin | Ginkgo | Added bleeding risk |
| Thyroid hormone | Bacopa | May add to the effect |
| Statins, nadolol | Green tea extract | Can lower blood levels of atorvastatin and nadolol |
| Anticholinergic or cholinergic drugs | Bacopa | May reduce or add to them |
| Diabetes medicine | Cinnamon extract | Unclear; ask the pharmacist |
Details are from NCCIH on ginkgo (NCCIH, Ginkgo), green tea (NCCIH, Green Tea) and StatPearls on bacopa (StatPearls, Bacopa monnieri).
What about the liver and the stroke flag?
They matter most to people on several medicines, because the liver processes many of them.
Bacopa inhibits several liver enzymes that clear other drugs, though no human liver data exist (StatPearls, Bacopa monnieri). Green tea extract is a known cause of rare liver injury, and cassia cinnamon carries coumarin (NCCIH, Cinnamon). If your regimen already stresses the liver, say so.
Alpha-GPC shows a stroke association in one observational cohort (Lee 2021, alpha-GPC and stroke). Anyone with a stroke history should raise it, and any stroke sign means 911.

Your conditions
Liver, thyroid, heart, bleeding, stomach, pregnancy and planned surgery.
Ask, "Does anything here interact with what I take?" Write the reply on the list, with the date. The answer may change after a new prescription, so ask again then. See the medicine safety page for more.
Who should skip it until a clinician says yes?
Anyone pregnant, nursing, under 18 or facing surgery should ask first.
NIH ODS adds that side effects are most likely at high doses and with many supplements combined (NIH ODS, What You Need to Know). A first bottle is a small commitment, but not a risk-free one.

FAQ01
CogniHoney questions people ask
Is CogniHoney safe to take with other medicines?
Not automatically. Ask your pharmacist first, especially about blood thinners, thyroid medicine, statins and diabetes medicine.
Does ginkgo in the list matter if I use a blood thinner?
Ginkgo may raise bleeding risk with anticoagulants such as warfarin. Ask the prescriber before starting, and never change warfarin on your own.
Does green tea extract interact with statins?
It can lower blood levels of atorvastatin, and of nadolol. A pharmacist can check your exact medicine.
Do I need to tell my surgeon?
Yes. Some supplements raise bleeding risk or change the response to anesthesia, so tell every provider before surgery.
