Do Memory Supplements Work? A Sourced Answer
Not for preventing decline, per NIA. Some small trials of bacopa found better scores on recall tests after at least 12 weeks, and the authors say larger trials are needed. Those results belong to specific extracts and amounts, and no study has tested CogniHoney itself.

Do memory supplements work?
Not for preventing decline, per NIA. Some small trials of bacopa found better recall scores; larger trials are needed.
NIA's line is plain: no vitamin or supplement is recommended for preventing Alzheimer's or other forms of cognitive decline (NIA, Cognitive Health and Older Adults). Bacopa is the ingredient most often named when people ask for a counter-example.
A review of six 12-week trials in adults without dementia found better results on 9 of 17 memory free-recall tests, with little sign of gains in other thinking skills (Pase 2012, bacopa review). Those trials used three different extracts at 300 to 450 mg of extract a day. Those are other people's amounts, not CogniHoney's.
What does the best evidence actually show?
A modest, narrow signal for one ingredient, taken for months.
A meta-analysis of nine placebo-controlled trials in 518 people found a shorter Trail B time and a shorter choice reaction time. Its authors say bacopa has potential, particularly for speed of attention, and that only a larger, well-designed study can confirm it (Kongkeaw 2014, bacopa meta-analysis).
| Step | What is known |
|---|---|
| Trial | Standardized extract, 12 weeks or more, a stated amount |
| Outcome | Some recall and speed tests, not daily function or diagnosis |
| Capsule | "Bacopa monnieri (20%)" in the sibling-pack list; the percentage is unexplained and no amount is printed |
| Link between the two | None; no study has tested CogniHoney |
What do the front-of-bottle phrases promise?
Words with an asterisk, not results.
Tap each number to read what the phrase does and does not say. They are structure and function wording, which FDA does not approve before sale (FDA, Structure/Function Claims).

- Honeycomb-C emblem
A gold hexagon cell shape with a C inside it. A logo only; it carries no words or claim.
- CogniHoney wordmark
The brand name, with 'Cogni' in white and 'Honey' in gold. The list given to this site names no honey among the ingredients.
- Front line
'Advanced Cognitive Support For Memory, Focus & Clarity*'. The asterisk points to the FDA statement. Marketing words, not a finding.
- Memory & Recall Support*
The first of three icon lines on the right of the bottle. A claim-style phrase with an asterisk; it names no condition and no result.
- Focus & Mental Clarity Formula*
The second icon line. No trial has tested this product for focus or clarity.
- Supports Cognitive Health*
The third icon line. 'Supports' wording is structure/function language that FDA does not approve before sale.
- 30 Capsules Count
The count on the bottle render. At two capsules a day (the sibling-pack wording) a bottle lasts 15 days; at one a day, 30.
- Dietary Supplement
A supplement, not a drug. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

See packsWhy is a test score not the same as a better memory?
Because a score is one narrow measure on one day.
A word-list gain after 12 weeks might mean a person recalls a few more words on that list. It does not show easier days, fewer lost keys or a lower chance of dementia.
Ask what was measured. A recall test, a reaction time and a diagnosis are different outcomes.
Common stomach upset and mild sedation are also reported with bacopa, and it may interact with thyroid and memory medicines (StatPearls, Bacopa monnieri). See the bacopa page before buying anything with it.
What should you do about memory worries?
See a doctor before a shop.
Memory loss that disrupts daily life needs a medical visit, since some causes can be treated (Mayo Clinic, Memory Loss). If you still choose a supplement, tell your pharmacist.

FAQ01
CogniHoney questions people ask
Is bacopa proven for memory?
No. Small 12-week trials found better scores on some recall tests, and a larger trial is needed to confirm it.
Can a memory supplement prevent dementia?
Not shown. NIA recommends no supplement for preventing Alzheimer's or cognitive decline.
How long do memory supplement trials last?
The bacopa trials we cite ran at least 12 weeks, so a few days of use says nothing about them.
Does CogniHoney have its own memory trial?
No. No study has tested CogniHoney, and its capsule amounts are not printed anywhere we can see.
